Advantages to having an eme certificate
Large businesses have to spend a portion of their total spend with small business; by having an eme certificate small businesses are able to use this as a very valuable marketing tool.

Vat registration

  • If your business turn - over is more than R1 –million in any 12-month period, you must register for vat.
  • If turn-over is more than r50 000 and less than r1-million you may still apply to register for provisional vat.
  • If your clients require you to be vat –registered you may still register for vat

Apostilles

Legalising or authenticating documents means that official documents are affixed, sealed and signed either with an Apostille Certificate (where countries are party to The Hague Convention of 5 October 1961 - for a list of the countries contact us) or with a Certificate of Authentication where countries are not party to the Hague Convention.

The Legalisation Section:

  • Legalises official public documents executed within South Africa for use outside the Republic of South Africa by means of an Apostille Certificate or a Certificate of Authentication;
  • Please note Copies of divorce decrees need to be signed and stamped by the Registrar of the High Court/Divorce Court. (Copies must be obtained from the Court where the divorce was granted. The Registrar of that particular High Court must legalise the signature of the clerk who certified the copy). back to top

Police Clearance

Police Clearance is obtainable at any local Police Station. This can take two to three months. A Q4u agent can obtain this document in 7-25 working days

Requirements:

  • Full set of fingerprints. Fingerprints can be done at any local Police Station.
  • Q4u-agents requires the original or a copy of the deposit/ payment slip.
  • A letter from your Company, School, University, etc. is required explaining the reason for the Police Clearance.
  • Processing time 7 - 25 working days (Please note that applicants with a criminal record may take longer.
